Artist in Residence, Jurgen Westphal, began his airbrush and design career in1987 to meet the growing demands of his silk screening and soccer supply business. His Keyport, NJ–based store, Bayshore Soccer Supplies, was the area’s only source for customized sportswear and garments. 

Jurgen would soon advance his design capabilities through courses and seminars with acclaimed airbrush artists such as Jurek, Drew Blair, Mickey Harris and Terry Hill. His growing portfolio reflected his lifelong interest and dedication to sports and physical activity. As his talent developed, so did the demand for his services and Bayshore Soccer Supplies became Bayshore Airbrush Designs in 1990. While Jurgen’s designs are primarily developed for use on sport and leisure apparel, he has completed innumerable custom commissions for automobiles, trucks, boats, motorcycles and portraits.

In 2001, Jurgen closed his Keyport location and focused all artistic efforts on design projects in order to personally appear at soccer tournaments, gymnastic meets, fairs and arts and crafts shows where customers choose a design and watch it come to life before their eyes.

Jurgen remains committed to competitive sporting events and his thematic designs remain as popular as ever.
